Visitor e600 Visa Online Applications
Thai nationals are eligible to apply online for a tourist visa. These visas are officially
called Visitor visa (subclass 600). This system is more convenient that the traditional application process and
there is no reason why someone other than the applicant can complete the process. Below are details on how to go
about using this system.
Note: I have yet to use this system so the information is not complete. With time this will be
rectified. If you use this system I would appreciate any feed back you have.
The first step to apply online is to navigate to the Visitor e600 Visa Online Applications page on the Immigration Department's website. On this
page there is some general information on the scheme. To get started with the application click on 'Start an
application' then on the row with Visitor visa (subclass 600) click 'Start application'. You will then be taken
to the login page.
Since you have not used the system you will need to select 'Create an ImmiAccount'. On the page
that opens select 'Individual' and then enter the user details. Once that is complete you will be taken to a second
page that asks for details just in case you forget the login details. You are also asked to create a password and
agree to their terms and conditions.
Once that is done you are able to login and enter the required information for the application.
The questions are the same as those asked on the paper application. Below are screen captures from the application
(click on any image to see a larger version). Some questions will spawn new ones depending on your answer to the
During the lodging of the application you will be able to upload documents. It would be a good
idea to have these scanned and ready to go before starting the application. You will need to attach all the
documents that I detail later in the guide.
Once you have made payment the application is lodged and you wait for an answer. You are able to
track the application using the same website.
Be aware that from the 3rd of May 2016 biometric data (photograph of face and an electronic fingerpint) will be collected at the same time a traditional application is lodged in Thailand. Those submitting an online application may not be asked to provide this information (at the time of writting (28 May 2016) I have no idea how often this wil happen). Here is a link to the announcement of this change: Introducing the collection of biometric
information for Australia visas
If you wish to skip ahead you can move onto the What to Include section. There is a link to this page at the bottom
of the page after the screen captures.
